Hey, I’m Ivan Peshykov 👋 (also known as Иван Пешиков / Іван Пешиков)

I'm from Ukraine, but currently I live in Kraków, Poland.

I am a Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies and a Computer Science student at the University of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski. Before university, I completed my secondary education in Ukraine, where I sometimes competed in informatics olympiads.

When I first started learning programming at school, I thought, “God, what a stupid subject!” But soon after, I tried it myself and actually enjoyed it. I began programming at the age of 14, first creating simple websites and later more complex web applications with a functional backend. From there, I started experimenting: first with game development (Unity and Unreal), then C++ and desktop application development, before ultimately focusing on Python. In terms of work experience, I contributed to the development of a parking application in a Ukrainian city. Then, I spent six months freelancing, primarily writing automation scripts and Discord bots. Currently, I work at Akamai as part of the network automation team, where we automate the deployment and configuration of thousands of routers across the globe!

In my free time, I like working on personal projects and experimenting with new technologies.
